Rowboat Kiili paat 440 is built with a wedge-shaped
bottom and suits particularly well for riding in the
sharpe wave of the Baltic Sea and Lake Peipus.
Naturally, the smaller rivers and lakes are no
problem either.
Kiili paat can be used for a joyride, fishing,
transportation of goods, and suits well as a small
netboat.
Due
to its economical and deliberate shape of the
bottom, Kiili paat glides easily in the water and
cuts well through the waves when using the engine as
well as the paddles.
The boat is made as a whole in a mould, not glued
together from pieces.
We used 5 hp two-cycle engine and it took us less
than an hour for ~10 km with 1 litre of petrol on a
sea without waves.
Driving licence for a boat is not needed to drive
Kiili paat with an engine.
We provide transportation for the boat within
Estonia.
When selecting a rear engine for Kiili Paat 440,
follow the recommendations for power of engines:
max 6 kW/8 hp.
For rides on inland waters, use an engine
with lower power or electrical engine.
When riding in Peipus or on the sea and the
rides are longer, the recommended choice of engine
is 4 hp or more.
Whether 4- or 2-cycle,
it is already the choice of the purchaser.
4-cycle engine pollutes less, the gear is
more stable.
When
selecting an engine’s foot length, the trans of
Kiili Paat 440 is 510 mm.
Therefore, an engine with a long foot (L);
20´´; 510mm is suitable.
It is possible to ride also with a short foot
(S); 15´´; 380 mm, but when the speed increases, the
boat will start lifting the bow.
It is convenient to ride with the engine that
has the petrol tank under the engine cover.
NB!
When going for a ride, take along an extra
reserve of petrol or mixture. |
